Tucson, AZ – Three members of the Pima Community College men’s tennis team advanced after Thursday’s round to compete in the final day of competition at the NJCAA Division I National Championships.
Sophomore Tomothy Ou defeated John Brett from Harford Community College (MD) 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 1 singles flight consolation semifinals.
Freshman Scott Mantelman was awarded the victory via walkout over Charlie Zwolsman from Glendale Community College in the No. 3 singles flight consolation semifinals.
Freshman Beau Boyer (Cibola HS) will head to the No. 6 singles consolation finals match after he won via walkout over Noah Mendoza from Glendale Community College in the semifinals.
The Aztecs close out the 2018 season on Friday in the final day of the NJCAA Division I National Championships in Plano, TX.
