(Tempe, AZ)   Alexandra Kiss is the newest addition to Head Coach Petra Pardi‘s staff after joining the Sun Devils to serve as an assistant coach.

“I am so excited to be working with her. We’ve known each other forever.” Pardi noted of her fellow Hungarian, though the two never competed against each other growing up in the Hungarian pipeline.

Kiss most recently coached at Fresno State at one of the NCAA’s youngest D1 programs and has led the Bulldogs to back-to-back GCC Championships and automatic berths into the NCAA Tournament those years. Since 2019, at Fresno State she has coached both the GCC Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.

Kiss played water polo at the collegiate level with USC from 2007-2010 where she was a member of the 2010 NCAA Championship team while being named an All-American that same season. She finished her Trojan career ranked No. 10 all-time in career scoring at USC after notching 142 goals over her four seasons. After her playing career Kiss’s first coaching stint came at USC where she served as a volunteer assistant coach for three seasons during two more title runs before leaving to Fresno State.

Before becoming a Trojan, Kiss was a member of the Youth Hungarian National Team and Junior Hungarian National Team like Pardi, despite their time on the team never overlapping. She also played for the club UVSE in Hungary which is the same team that freshman attacker and 2022 MPSF Newcomer of the Year Vanda Baksa played for prior to coming to ASU.
