(Tempe, AZ) On Friday afternoon, Inside Lacrosse announced its 2025 IL Women Nike Lacrosse Media All-Americans, which was highlighted by Sun Devil Lacrosse’s Big 12 Draw Specialist of the Year, Anna Viglione, who picked up the third team draw honors.
Per IL Women, The Nike Lacrosse Media All-Americans aim for integrity in positions. The list aims to maintain position numbers as if it were an actual team taking the field. It creates tough decisions but also a more exclusive honor. This meaning that just two draw specialists were selected before Viglione on first and second team.
Viglione shattered draw records for Arizona State this season after her 215 draw controls were the most in a single season in program history. She tallied double-digit draw controls in 14 of 19 games, and collected five Big 12 Midfielder of the Week awards along the way.
Her draw dominance had her sitting top five in the NCAA in total draw controls and draw controls per game through the conclusion of ASU’s season.
Going into 2026, Viglione is 55 draw controls away from tying the program’s career draw control record, which was set by Zoe Mazur spanning 2021-2024.
Prior to this nod, she was also named a USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention.
