(Hutchinson, KS) The Pima Community College men’s track & field team finished off the 2025 season on Saturday at the NJCAA Division I Outdoor National Championships in.
- The No. 7 ranked Aztecs finished 12th in the final team standings out of 37 teams with a score of 22 points.
- Freshman Charles Borowsky took eighth place in the Javelin as he broke the Pima Outdoor school record with a mark of 61.43 meters (201-feet, 6-inches). He toppled Mo Dial’s previous record of 61.04 meters (200-3) set back in 1991. Borowsky also earned NJCAA All-American honors for his placement, securing one point for the Aztecs.
Six athletes earned NJCAA All-American honors in four events:
- Carter Huntsman – Third place in Pole Vault
- Nathaniel Curtiss (Rincon/University HS) – Third place in High Jump
- Ketch Sulpizio (Gila Ridge HS) – Fifth place in Pole Vault
- Cedric Cade – Sixth place in Decathlon
- Vernon Price – Seventh place in High Jump
- Charles Borowsky – Eighth place in Javelin
Other Pima finishes in day three of the NJCAA Division I Outdoor National Championships:
- Martin Valencia-Felix (St. Augustine Catholic HS) – 10th place in Javelin 55.33 meters (181-6)
- Darlington Onsarigo (Mica Mountain HS) – 11th place in Triple Jump 14.74 meters (48-4.25)
- Isaiah Jordan – 15th place in Triple Jump 13.26 meters (43-6)
- Connor Grusendorf (Mica Mountain HS) – 19th place in 5,000 meters 15:38.41
- Jackson Koontz (Salpointe Catholic HS) – 20th place in 5,000 meters 15:49.68
The Aztecs claimed their three straight Region I Team Championship and produced five individual region champions.
