(Frisco, TX) Three Sun Devil Hockey skaters are set to represent Team USA participating in the 2025 IIHF U18 Men’s World Championship. USA Hockey announced its 2025 U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team with Sun Devils’ rising sophomore forward Cullen Potter and incoming freshmen Benjamin Kevan and Lincoln Kuehne making the 25-player roster.
The 2025 IIHF U18 Men’s World Championship will take place from April 23 – May 3 in Frisco and Allen, Texas featuring 10 participating countries broken up into two groups. Team USA will begin play in the preliminary round taking on Czechia, Switzerland, Sweden and Germany in Group B with four teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. Team USA opens the tournament in a preliminary game on Wednesday, April 23 versus Czechia at 8 p.m. ET on NHL Network.

Potter finished his freshman season at ASU with 13 goals and nine assists, earning a spot on the 2024-25 NCHC All-Rookie Team. The left-shot forward spent one season with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) prior to joining the Sun Devils where he tallied 46 points (17 G, 29 A) over 54 games played. Potter is eligible for the 2025 NHL Draft this June and is projected to be selected in the first round.
Kevan played two seasons in the USHL with the Des Moines Buccaneers in his junior career, racking up 100 points (37 G, 63 A) in 110 games. The Fairfield Calif. Native appeared in five games with the NTDP for the 2024 World Junior A Challenge where he tied a single-tournament record with five power play goals en route to a first place finish.
Kuehne skated two seasons with USA Hockey’s development program recording 20 points on four goals and 16 assists. The Sun Devil Hockey commit participated in the 2025 Chipotle All American Game and is eligible for the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.
