Season Ends for Gym Devils at NCAA Regionals

(Seattle, WA)  The 2025 season came to an end for Sun Devil Gymnastics on Friday afternoon, placing fourth in the first session NCAA Regionals second round at the Washington Regional.

Notable Stats

  • Arizona State was in the race down the stretch to get the second spot in the regional final, but unfortunately, the team came up short to place fourth. The two teams advancing from this session are No. 7 Missouri and Arizona.
  • On beam, the team scored a 49.225, tying their season high on that event.
  • In her final meet, graduate Emily White had two 9.900s in the meet and a 39.350 overall in the all-around. She had a team-best 9.900 on beam, which tied her season best and was her second 9.900 of the year on beam. It also was tied for the second-best beam score in the meet. On floor, her 9.900 also led the team and was her eighth score of 9.900 or better this season. This was tied for the third-best across all teams.
  • Another gymnast in her final meet was graduate Sarah Clark. She earned a pair of 9.850s on both bars and beam. The third graduate was Jada Mangahas. She scored a 9.700 on vault, 9.850 on bars and 9.800 on floor.
  • Also in the all-around as usual was junior Kimberly Smith. She scored a 39.275, earning at least a 9.800 on all four of her events. This was her second time all season scoring at least a 9.800 on each event in a meet. Her best event was bars where she hit a 9.850.
  • Junior Kayla Lee scored a 9.875 in her lead-off role on beam. That tied her season high on the event. Junior Caroline Lichtman also matched her season best with a 9.800.

Rotation One: Beam, 49.225

The Gym Devils got off to a great start by tying their season high on beam with a 49.225. The first five in the lineup all hit at least a 9.800. Lee led off with a 9.875, matching her season high, and White notched a 9.900, which tied her season high as well. Lichtman’s 9.800 tied her season best.

Rotation Two: Floor, 48.950

The momentum dipped in the second rotation for ASU. Mangahas notched the first 9.800 in the third spot in the lineup. Smith built on that with a 9.825, then White closed out the lineup with a 9.900. That was her eighth score of 9.900 or better this season on floor.

Rotation Three: Vault, 48.750

Vault was another step back for the Sun Devils. No score was larger than a 9.800. Smith and Halle Gregoirewere the two 9.800s for the team.

Rotation Four: Bars, 49.125

The Gym Devils struggled to find their landings on bars, resulting in four-straight 9.850s to close out the lineup. Those scores came from Smith, Mangahas, White and Clark.
