(Tempe, AZ) Despite a win from the No. 3 pair, No. 10 Sun Devil Beach Volleyball fell to No. 6 Cal Poly 4-1 on Saturday afternoon to close out the Sun Devil Classic.
In a rematch of their 2024 NCAA Tournament first-round matchup, Arizona State (7-6) came up short again to Cal Poly (7-2). The loss snapped a six-dual winning streak for the Sun Devils. At the Sun Devil Classic, ASU went 2-1.
The Sand Devils battled in the dual, with three matches going to three sets. The No. 3 pair of sophomore Olivia McElroy and senior Anya Pemberton won their three-set match. However, the twos and fives fell in their three-set matches.
