(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College men’s basketball player Gabe Oldham (Spanish Fork HS, UT) was a difficult task to contain for opponents as his play earned recognition from the ACCAC conference.
Oldham, a sophomore center/forward, was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 2-8.
Oldham averaged 15 points, 12 rebounds and three assists in Pima’s wins over Scottsdale Community College and Phoenix College. He also had four steals and two blocks. He shot 63 percent (10 for 16) from the field and 77 percent (10 for 13) from the free throw line.
He has played in 21 games so far this season; making 20 starts and is averaging 12.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. He is shooting 65.1 percent from the field.
The No. 2 ranked Aztecs beat Chandler-Gilbert Community College 73-49 on Wednesday and are back at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Saturday against South Mountain Community College. Tipoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
