(Mesa, AZ) The Park University Gilbert beach volleyball team lost to the Life Pacific University Warriors in their 2025 regular season opener, Wednesday afternoon at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Ariz.
Seven teams from the Great Southwest Athletic Conference traveled to Mesa to compete in the GSAC Round Robin, hosted by Park-Gilbert.
The Buccaneers drop to 0-1 in both overall and conference play, while LPU moves to 1-0 as they won four of five matches.
Bucs sophomore Porsche Bauer and junior Anna DeMario headlined the day, bringing home Park-Gilbert’s lone match win. Bauer and DeMario faced off against Life Pacific’s Lindsey Johnson and Taylor Wilson, winning the first two sets 21-16 and 21-9.

- Flight 4: Iliana Galindo and Gracelyn Myhre (LPU) def. Ashley Estrada and Jaiden Kramer (PARK) 26-24 21-9
- Flight 5: Mya Castro and Kylie Proctor (LPU) def. Miyah Vila and Makala Detrick (PARK) 21-19, 21-12
The 2025 GSAC Round Robin continues tomorrow, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. MST, with Park-Gilbert facing both The Master’s at 10 a.m. MST and Hope International at 2:00 p.m. MST back at Arizona Athletic Grounds.
