(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College baseball pitcher Luis Pablo Navarro (Walden Grove HS) produced a strong start against Chandler-Gilbert Community College last Tuesday and it got recognition from the ACCAC.
Navarro, a freshman LHP, was selected ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week for the week of Feb. 9-15. Navarro threw six innings against the Coyotes, giving up three runs (two earned) on six hits with seven strikeouts and no walks in Pima’s 9-6 win.
He is 4-0 with a 2.25 ERA in four starts so far this season. Navarro has 27 strikeouts and given up just six runs (five earned) and six walks in 20.0 innings pitched.
The Aztecs got their first ACCAC conference sweep on Tuesday beating Scottsdale community College 5-0 and 8-6. They will hit the road on Saturday for an ACCAC conference doubleheader at Phoenix College. The first game starts at 12:00 p.m.
