(Chandler, AZ) The Park University Gilbert men’s basketball team (5-12, 2-3) dropped its home contest against The Master’s University Mustangs (16-3, 4-1), Saturday afternoon at Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Chandler.
The Buccaneers fell to the sixth seed in the Great Southwest Athletic Conference standings, following their 54-90 loss to a Mustangs team currently ranked No. 7 in the nation.
Park-Gilbert received plenty of contributions from their bench as they scored a collective 34 points. Junior forward Caleb Geisendorfer led the team in scoring with 12 points, shooting 4-9 from the field and 1-2 from three-point land. Geisendorfer also pulled down five rebounds and dished out one assist.
While the Bucs’ shooting numbers improved in the second half, they finished the game with a 31.1% shooting percentage and a 20.8% three-point percentage.
The Buccaneers men’s basketball team returns to the floor this Thursday, Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. MST, when they face the Benedictine University Mesa Redhawks (11-7, 0-4) at The PHHacility in Phoenix.
