Kiley Sours-Miller goes for 21 points on 10 for 14 shooting as Women’s Basketball wins 6th straight

(Glendale, AZ)  The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (8-1, 4-0 in ACCAC) played an afternoon contest on Saturday at Glendale Community College (2-8, 1-2).

The No. 9 ranked Aztecs remain undefeated in ACCAC conference play as they took down the Gauchos 67-47 for their sixth straight win.

The Aztecs took the second quarter by double digits outscoring Glendale 19-8 to go up 36-18 at halftime. Pima led 17-10 at the end of the first quarter.

Freshman Kiley Sours-Miller finished with a team-high 21 points after going 10 for 14 from the field. She also had nine rebounds, three blocks and one steal.

Freshman Kennedi Niemann closed out the game with nine points, three rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Sophomore Rori Hoffmeyer (Cibola HS) posted eight points and 10 rebounds while freshman Lucy Land also had eight points, going 4 for 5 from the floor with three rebounds.

Sophomore Mattanaya Vital (Amphitheater HS) added six points, four assists and two rebounds. Freshman Ahdiayh Chee (Dobson HS) finished with five points and seven rebounds and freshman Melicia Nelson (Window Rock HS) had four points, 13 rebounds and six assists.

The Aztecs will be back on the road on Wednesday when they play No. 8 ranked Mesa Community College. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
