The Lopes (6-2) also defeated Arizona State at Footprint Center on Nov. 14.
GCU senior guard Trinity San Antonio led all scorers with 26 points on an efficient 9-for-13 clip, paired with 12 rebounds. Graduate forward Laura Erikstrup added 14 points while senior guard Alyssa Durazo-Frescas chipped in 13.
Both teams shot 44% from the field, but the Lopes won the battle from the free throw line (16 makes on 67%) and the glass (37-34 rebounds).
It was the first ever meeting between the two in-state foes.
The Lopes will finish off their series against all three in-state Division I opponents when they host Northern Arizona on Dec. 29 at Global Credit Union Arena.
