(Salt Lake City, UT)  The Park University Gilbert men’s basketball team (2-6, 0-0) lost 67-93 in the second game of a back-to-back against the Westminster University Griffins (6-2, 0-0), Saturday afternoon at Behnken Field House in Salt Lake City, Utah.

After shooting 56.3% from three-point land last night, in a close loss, the Buccaneers struggled to find the hot hand as they only made four-of-19 three-pointers this afternoon. While Park-Gilbert outscored last night’s 60-point effort, Westminster’s offense put up over 90 points for the third time this season.

Junior forward Caleb Geisendorfer led the Bucs in scoring today with 22 points, shooting 6-9 from the field and a perfect 9-9 from the free-throw line. In the 27 minutes played, Geisendorfer also recorded a steal and four rebounds.

Junior guard Latrell Jones provided a spark off the bench, scoring 19 points and leading the team in three-pointers made shooting 3-5 from beyond the arc off 20 minutes played.

The Park-Gilbert men’s basketball team returns to Utah this Tuesday to face a Division I opponent, Southern Utah University, in an exhibition at 6:30 p.m. MST. The Buccaneers will return to regular season play in two weeks, when they compete in their opening game of the Cactus Classic against Rocky Mountain College (MT) on Dec. 15 at 12:00 p.m. MST, at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
