Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College women’s soccer player Ariela Sanchez-Hermosillo (Sahuaro HS) earned another national accolade and will be recognized at a national convention in January.
Sanchez-Hermosillo, a sophomore defender, was named to the United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division II Women’s All-American team.
Sanchez-Hermosillo was selected Third Team NJCAA Division II All-American on Dec. 3. She earned First Team All-ACCAC/Region I, Division II after playing and starting all 18 games this season.
She was on the pitch for all 180 minutes during the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. She had one goal, two assists and four points this season and finished her career playing in 37 games; with 35 starts.
Sanchez-Hermosillo helped the Aztecs make the jump from going 8-7-2 in 2023 to 13-5 this season after finishing runner-up at the Region I, Division II Tournament and taking an at-large spot in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.
Sanchez-Hermosillo will be recognized at the annual All-American Ceremony on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Marriott Marquis, Great Lakes Ballroom in Chicago, Ill. It is part of the United Soccer Coaches Convention from January 8-12, 2025.
