(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College women’s soccer players Ariela Sanchez-Hermosillo (Sahuaro HS) and Solaris Graves (Ironwood Ridge HS) gained national attention for their play during the 2024 season.
Sanchez-Hermosillo and Graves were selected Third Team NJCAA Division II All-Americans as the teams were released on Tuesday.
Sanchez-Hermosillo, a sophomore defender, was named First Team All-ACCAC/Region I, Division II. She played and started all 18 games this season, which included all 180 minutes during the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. She had one goal, two assists and four points this season and finished her career playing in 37 games; with 35 starts.
Graves, a sophomore midfielder, was also selected First Team All-ACCAC/Region I, Division II and was a two-time All-ACCAC/Region I player. She was named to the NJCAA Division II All-National Tournament team where she played in all 180 minutes and had a goal and an assist. Graves played in 17 games this season; making 16 starts and scored five goals with three assists and 13 points. She played in 34 games for her career; making 33 starts with 14 goals, eight assists and 36 points.
The duo helped the Aztecs make the jump from going 8-7-2 in 2023 to 13-5 this season.
The Aztecs have produced eight NJCAA All-Americans since 2014. Sanchez-Hermosillo and Graves join Angelina Amparano (2022), Bri Gerhart (2022), Delaney Buntin (2022), Mari Acosta (2021), Devyn Hunley (2015) and Shannon Shields (2014).
