(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College volleyball team produced a standout season in its 2024 campaign and the effort showed as four players were selected to the All-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference and Region I, Division II teams.
Sophomore outside hitter Haylee Gilleland (Flagstaff HS) was named first team All-ACCAC/Region I. She closed out the regular season leading ACCAC Division II in kills with 392 and kills per set (4.00) in 26 matches and 98 sets played. She had 1201 total attacks, 330 digs (3.37 per set), 47 total blocks and 27 serve aces.
Freshman outside hitter Maggie McReynolds (Mountain View HS) was selected second team All-ACCAC/Region I. She was second on the team with 315 kills (3.00 per set) on 996 attacks in 28 matches and 105 sets played. She had 340 digs, 42 serve aces, 28 assists and 17 total blocks.
Sophomore middle blocker Kenna Simon was named All-ACCAC/Region I Honorable Mention. She finished the regular season with 182 kills on 449 attacks in 28 matches and 104 sets played. She led the Aztecs with 59 total blocks to go along with 41 digs and five aces.
Sophomore libero Jasmin Joseph (Tanque Verde HS) was also selected All-ACCAC/Region I Honorable Mention. She led the Aztecs with 413 digs (4.39 per set) in 25 matches and 94 sets played during the regular season. Joseph also had 80 assists and 40 serve aces.
The Aztecs finished the 2024 season at 17-14 overall; most overall wins in a season since 2015 and earned the most ACCAC conference wins in program history with a 12-6 record. They took third place at the Region I, Division II Tournament but not before eliminating No. 1 seeded Glendale Community College.
