(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College soccer teams closed out their 2024 seasons last week at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.
The NJCAA released the NJCAA Division II All-Tournament teams.
Sophomore defender D’Andre Pickett (Tucson Magnet HS) was selected the Defensive Player of the Tournament and was part of the All-Tournament Team. Pickett logged 305 minutes and started all three games in the backfield as well as scoring one goal.
The Aztecs lost to Northeast Community College, the eventual National Champion, in the penalty kick session 5-3 after the score was tied at 2-2 after 110 minutes of play. Pima beat Pellissippi State Community College (Tenn.) 3-2 in double overtime and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College 3-2 in overtime to advance to the National Semifinal round.
The Aztecs closed out the season at 20-1-1 overall.

Sophomore midfielder Solaris Graves (Ironwood ridge HS) was named to the NJCAA Division II Women’s Soccer All-Tournament Team. She played and started all 180 minutes with one goal and one assist.
The Aztecs dropped their first game to Heartland Community College (IL) 3-1 but responded with a 4-3 comeback victory over Pensacola State College (FL). Graves scored the game-tying goal to make it 3-3. The Aztecs didn’t make it out of pool play as Heartland went 2-0 to advance to the National Semifinal round.
The Aztecs closed out the season at 13-5 overall.
