(Greensboro, NC) No. 2/13 Sun Devil Swim and Dive completed their final day in Greensboro at the NC State invite, with the men’s team winning the invite for the third consecutive year and featuring the women’s 200 back record being broken.
The men’s team won the invite for the third consecutive year, while the women took second place. However the Sun Devils won the combined team title with 3,624.5 points to NC State’s 3,615 points.

Caroline Bentz set another school record, this time breaking her own in the 200 back with a time of 1:52.10 in the final. Kharun recorded a win in the 200 fly at 1:39.00, Filip Senc-Samardzic was fourth finishing in 1:42.08.
In the 1650 free, Alexa Reyna opened the night with a win by clocking in a time of 16:00.40, she managed to win by about 13-seconds. Daniel Matheson placed third with a time of 14:43.46 and was the lead Sun Devil.
For the men’s 200 back, Jack Wadsworth took sixth with a time of 1:43.58. In the men’s 100 free, Jonny Kulow clocked in one of the fastest times of the season winning the event at 40.97. Patrick Sammon was fourth with a season-best at 42.05.
Zoe Summar set a new season-best dropping more than a second off her time, clocking in a 2:11.32. Emma Gehlert was fourth at 2:12.10. Cale Martter placed second in the 200 breast clocking at 1:54.31.
Sonia Vaishnani placed fourth in the 200 fly at 1:57.81, which is a season-best.
In the women’s 400 free relay, the A-team of Caroline Bentz, Erin Milligan, Julia Ullmann and Charli Brownfinished third with a season-best time of 3:14.65 to cap-off the night.
Diving Results
Lane Stallworth won the platform diving competition with 335.80 points. For the week he also set a personal best in the 3m competition with 377.70 points and placed third on the 1m competition.
Kayden Hayes placed second on the platform diving competition with 251.50 points.
Morning Prelims
Opening the morning in the 200 back, Caroline Bentz was the lone Sun Devil to qualify to the final with a 1:54.45. Jack Wadsworth finished third in the prelims at 1:42.56. Erin Milligan was the top Sun Devil in the women’s 100 free, placing 11th.
The men’s 100 free featured Kulow having the fastest swim at 41.48. Patrick Sammon placed fifth at 42.39. In the women’s 200 breast, Emma Gehlert was third at 2:11.66 and Zoe Summar was fourth, finishing in 2:12.65.
In the men’s 200 breast, Cale Martter posted the second-fastest time at 1:55.62. For the women’s 200 fly, Sonia Vaishnani was fourth at 1:58.97 to get into the final. Grace Lindberg was seventh, finishing at 2:01.13.
Kharun was the fastest in the 200 fly, taking first at 1:40.62 in the prelims. Filip Senc-Samardzic was third at 1:44.11 and Jack Mason swam a season-best 1:45.31.
