Volleyball Falls at Embry Riddle

(Prescott, AZ)  The Park University Gilbert volleyball team dropped a road contest to in-state foe Embry Riddle 3-0 (18-25, 19-25, 24-26) In Prescott, Ariz., this evening. The Buccaneers are now 4-5 overall and 0-5 in conference play in the Great Southwest Athletic Conference.

The Bucs have played most of their conference season shorthanded in one way or another. Tonight was no different as three of the Bucs four setters were not available for action. The lone remaining setter Kylie Druxman, set a career high with 30 assists for the contest along with a career-high 10 digs to lead the team and post her first career double-double.

The Bucs have been strong in the middle this season and tonight was no different. Freshman middle blocker Chariyah Curry set a career high with 10 kills and hit .500 for the evening.

On the outside Sophomore Porsche Bauer added eight kills and nine digs

Park Gilbert returns to the valley for two more conference contests next week, staying on the road to take on Benedictine Mesa on Wednesday, Oct. 9 in Mesa, Ariz. before hosting Arizona Christian on Friday, Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. at Arizona Athletic Grounds.
