Reatta Danhof named NJCAA National Runner of the Week

(Tucson, AZ)  Pima Community College women’s cross country runner Reatta Danhof (Ironwood Ridge HS) earned praise at the national level for her performance at the Vaquero CAMPY Invitational.

Danhof, a sophomore, was selected NJCAA Division I Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week as well as ACCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

She took first place in the women’s 5K (3.1 miles) with a personal-record time of 18 minutes, 48.0 seconds. She crossed the finish line five seconds ahead of the second-place competitorIt was Danhof’s second straight win as she took first at the ACCAC Division I Conference Championships with a time of 19:04 on Sept. 27.

The Aztecs will compete at the Highlander Invitational held at the UCR Agricultural Operations Course on Saturday, Oct. 19 in Riverside, CA. The men’s race will be at 8:00 a.m. and the women’s race will follow at 8:40 a.m.
