(Glendale, AZ) The Arizona Rattlers announce the addition of three new players for the upcoming 2025 IFL season. Defensive back Lakevias Daniel, running back Ja’Won Howell, and offensive lineman Kristopher Stroughter will bring fresh talent and experience to the team.
Lakevias Daniel – DB
Lakevias Daniel joins the Arizona Rattlers for his first season after playing for the Green Bay Blizzard in 2024. Daniel started his college career at Ole Miss before transferring to Southern Miss, where he made three tackles. His strong performance at Jones College earned him recognition as a three-star prospect. He ranked as the No. 8 junior college cornerback in the nation and was named to the NJCAA All-Region 23 team. In his sophomore season at Jones College, Daniel had 18 tackles, three interceptions, three pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.
Ja’Won Howell – RB
Ja’Won Howell is set to make his debut in the IFL with the Arizona Rattlers after signing with the Edmonton Elks of the CFL in 2024. Howell played two seasons at Alabama State University (2022-2023), rushing for 680 yards and six touchdowns over 22 games. Before that, Howell spent four seasons at North Alabama, where he accumulated 284 yards on 70 carries.
Kristopher Stroughter – OL
Kristopher Stroughter is starting his second season in the Indoor Football League (IFL) with the Rattlers. He previously played for the Iowa Barnstormers in 2024, where he appeared in nine games and made 1.5 tackles. Stroughter graduated from Fort Hays State University, where he became known for his strong play on the offensive line. In his junior year, he helped the Tigers lead the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) in total offense, averaging 460.3 yards per game. His solid performance earned him All-MIAA Third Team honors. In his senior year, he continued to excel and strengthened the offensive line.
