Noah Brunet finishes in the Top 5 at the Vaquero CAMPY Invitational

(Eloy, AZ)  The Pima Community College men’s cross country team competed in its third race this season on Saturday at the Vaquero CAMPY Invitational held at Central Arizona College.

The Aztecs took fourth place in the final team standings with a score of 79. Central Arizona College was first with 20 while the College of Southern Nevada placed second with 61. Mesa Community College finished in third place with 65.

Freshman Noah Brunet (Ironwood Ridge HS) was the top Pima finisher in the 8K race (4.97 miles) as he took fifth place with a time of 26 minutes, 47.0 seconds.

Sophomore Zack Comaduran (Marana HS) closed out the race in 15th place with a time of 28:10.

Freshman Tayvien Biancuzzo crossed the finish line in 18th place at 28:41 while freshman Marco Hernandez (Buena HS) placed 20th with a time of 28:58. Sophomore Evan Rasoumoff (Catalina Foothills HS) was 21st at 29:04.

The Aztecs will compete at the San Diego Invitational next Saturday, Oct. 12 hosted by San Diego College.
