DesRosier, Walker, Razcon and Sanchez drive home goals as No. 11 Women’s Soccer beats Chandler-Gilbert CC

(Tucson, AZ)  The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (7-2) snapped a two-game skid on Tuesday as it got back on track against Chandler-Gilbert Community College (2-7) at the West Campus Aztec Field.

The No. 11 ranked Aztecs picked up their fifth shutout win of the season after beating the Coyotes 4-0.

Freshman Anjeli DesRosier (Salpointe Catholic HS) put the Aztecs on the scoreboard with her shot in the 21stminute that was assisted by freshman Kamelani Peralta (Tucson Magnet HS).

Sophomore Lizzie Walker (Canyon del Oro HS) came off the bench and made it 2-0 with her goal in the 36thminute.

The Aztecs added two more insurance goals late in the game as sophomore Camila Razcon (Marana HS) got an assist from fellow sophomore Uriah Burrell (Catalina Foothills HS) for her goal in the 85th minute. Sophomore Viviana Sanchez (Tucson Magnet HS) found the back of the net two minutes later with her shot in the 87th minute.

The Aztecs finished with 17 shots on goal. Freshman Phoebe Knisley (Canyon del Oro HS) closed out the match with five saves.

The Aztecs will hit the road for an afternoon match on Saturday at Paradise Valley Community College. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
