(Sant Clarisa, CA) The Park University Gilbert women’s cross-country team took part in The Master’s University XC Invitational on Saturday morning, at Central Park in Santa Clarita, Calif.
Park-Gilbert was one of 29 schools to compete in the 6K event, with four Buccaneers racing in a pool of 230 runners.
Senior Maryan Sharif led the charge for the Bucs, placing 103rd with a time of 24:31.50.
A couple of minutes later, senior Madison Turner crossed the finish line at 28:10 placing 203rd.
Freshman Leighton Simmons placed 214th clocking in at 30:26.00, followed by Kenyah Reed at 218th place with a time of 31:04.90.
The Bucs return to competition in two weeks, when they travel to SoCal again for the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 19.
