Reatta Danhof takes second place at the George Kyte Invitational

(Flagstaff, AZ)  The Pima Community College women’s cross country team opened the 2024 season on Saturday at the George Kyte Invitational held at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff, AZ.

The Aztecs took third place with 72 points. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University claimed first place with 19 points and the University of Nevada-Las Vegas placed second with 57 points. Coconino Community College and Phoenix College were the other ACCAC conference teams to participate. The Comets were fifth with 152 points and the Bears finished sixth with 177.

Sophomore Reatta Danhof (Ironwood Ridge HS) took second place in the 2.5-mile open run with a time of 16 minutes, 09.8 seconds.

Freshman Ella Allred (Benson HS) closed out the race in 13th place with a finishing time of 17:41.2.

Sophomore Linda Rivero (Desert View HS) placed 17th as she crossed the finish line with a time of 18:13.9. Freshman Elexia Aragon (Flowing Wells HS) finished behind her in 18th place with a time of 18:20.5.

Freshman Karlee Pope took 22nd place at 18:39.9.

The Aztecs will compete in the Firestorm Classic at the Historic Sahuaro Ranch Park in Glendale on Friday, Sept. 20. The first race will be at 7:30 a.m.
