(Flagstaff, AZ) The Park University Gilbert women’s cross country team competed valiantly Saturday afternoon in the George Kyte Classic, hosted by Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
While the Lumberjacks of Northern Arizona took the win in today’s meet, Park Gilbert showed plenty of promise throughout the day.
In the women’s 2.5 mile run, the Buccaneers finished in 11th place, out of 16 schools competing in the event.
Graduate Maryan Sharif led the charge for Park Gilbert in the women’s 2.5 mile run, recording a time of 18:04.03 and placing 55th. Junior Madison Turner and graduate Kenyah Reed followed up placing 80th and 83rd, with respective times of 20:49.91 and 21:05.51.
The Bucs women’s cross country team looks forward to their next competition on Sept. 20, the Glendale Community College invite.
