Aztecs Men’s Cross Country takes third place at ACCAC Conference Championships

(Glendale, AZ)  The Pima Community College men’s cross country team competed at the ACCAC Conference Championships on Friday at the Glendale Heroes Regional Park.

The Aztecs finished in third place with a score of 59 points. Central Arizona College claimed first place with 15 points while the College of Southern Nevada took second with 38 points.

Sophomore Evan Rasoumoff (Catalina Foothills HS) was the top finisher for the Aztecs in the 8K race as he crossed the finish line in seventh place with a time of 27 minutes, 42.0 seconds.

Sophomore Louis Madrigal-Diaz (North Canyon HS) finished in 11th place with a time of 28:19 while freshman Noah Brunet (Ironwood Ridge HS) took 12th at 28:31.

Sophomore Zack Comaduran (Marana HS) finished the race in 13th place with a time of 29:04 and freshman Marco Hernandez (Buena HS) was 16th at 31:40.

  • , Madrigal-Diaz, Brunet and Comaduran earned All-ACCAC honors because of their Top 15 finishes.

The Aztecs will compete at the Vaquero CAMPY races on Saturday, Oct. 5. It will be held at Central Arizona College. The first race will begin at 7:00 p.m.
