Taylor Crawford goes for 34 assists, two blocks and two aces as Volleyball downs Phoenix College

(Phoenix, AZ)  The Pima Community College volleyball team (2-4, 1-1 in ACCAC) hit the road for the first time in ACCAC conference play on Wednesday at Phoenix College (1-2, 0-2).

The Aztecs beat the Bears in straight sets 27-25, 25-18, 25-18 bouncing back after Tuesday’s conference loss to Glendale Community College.

Sophomore Taylor Crawford (Ironwood Ridge HS) closed out the match with 34 assists, two blocks and two aces.

Freshman Maggie McReynolds (Mountain View HS) led the way with a team-high 14 kills. Sophomore Haylee Gilleland (Flagstaff HS) fell a dig short of a double-double with 11 kills and nine digs.

Sophomore Jasmin Joseph (Tanque Verde HS) finished with a total of 13 digs.

The Aztecs continue their busy week as they begin play in their hosted Aztec Classic from Thursday to Saturday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. Pima opens play on Thursday night against Williston State College. The match begins at 7:00 p.m.
