(Chandler, AZ) The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (2-0, 2-0 in ACCAC) scored two goals in each half as it picked up another road win to begin the season on Tuesday at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (0-2, 0-2).
Sophomore Lizzie Walker (Canyon del Oro HS) scored twice as the Aztecs shut out the Coyotes 4-0. She put the Aztecs on the board in the 24th minute and made the score 3-0 with her shot in the 57th minute.
Sophomore Uriah Burrell Catalina Foothills HS) found the back of the net in the 37th minute as Pima led 2-0 at halftime.
Freshman Ashley Martinez (Sunnyside HS) capped it off with her insurance goal in the 67th minute that was assisted by Emma Beach (Ironwood Ridge HS).
The Aztecs outshot the Coyotes 11-3 on attempts at the goal. Freshman Brooke Valencia (Sabino HS) had one save and sophomore Jasmin Delgado (Salpointe Catholic HS) also had one save.
The Aztecs will host their home opener on Saturday against Paradise Valley Community College. The teams will be on the pitch at 8:00 p.m.
