(Gilbert, AZ) Park University Gilbert Director of Athletics Angelique Claussen has announced the hiring of Lainie Hallows as the school’s new Athletics Operations Coordinator. Hallows is a familiar face to the Buccaneer family having worked in the department as a graduate assistant and earning her masters degree from the university.
Hallows has worked in college athletics since her freshman year at Southern Utah University where she was the Strategic Communications Intern for the Division I Thunderbird athletics program. After graduating from SUU in 2022, Hallows returned to her hometown of Gilbert, Ariz. where she began working as an Athletic Comminications Graduate Assistant at Park Gilbert where she was the media contact for men’s and women’s soccer, cross country and track, men’s basketball, softballl, and beach volleyball..During the summer of 2023, Hallows had the opportunity to work as a P.J. Boatwright Jr. Intern for the Arizona Golf Association. She attended over 30 golf tournaments throughout the valley and managed the organization’s social media accounts and website.
In her role as Athletic Operations Coordinator, Hallows will oversee all campus and event engagement activities, she will oversee the game operations and engagement work study staff as well as act as an advisor to the Buccaneer Student Athlete Council. In addition, she will assist with social media and athletic communications needs as needed.
Hallows graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Strategic Communications and has a Master of Business Administration from Park University.
