(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College women’s golfers Myranda Moreno (Tucson Magnet HS) and Kayley Yanez (Marana HS) earned recognition from the ACCAC Conference and Region I.
Moreno, a sophomore, was selected first team All-ACCAC and second team All-Region I. She shot a season-best 74 (2-over par) on April 15 in the final regular season round at the Chandler-Gilbert CC Invitational. She averaged 83.8 per round this season and earned three medals.
Yanez, a sophomore, was named second team All-ACCAC and second team All-Region I. She shot a season-best 76 (4-over par) in the final round at the Chandler-Gilbert CC Invitational on April 15. She averaged 87.3 per round this season.
The duo await word if they have qualified for the NJCAA Division I National championships, which is from May 19-24 at the Duran Country Club in Melbourne, FL.
