(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College women’s golfers Myranda Moreno (Tucson Magnet HS) and Kayley Yanez (Marana HS) finished up play at the NJCAA Southwest District Tournament on Wednesday held at the Canyon West Golf Club in Weatherford, TX.
Moreno, a sophomore, closed out the final round with an 84 as she finished in 32ndplace with a 252 (82-86-84).
Yanez, a sophomore, shot an 82 for the second straight round as she placed 33rd with a three-day total of 253 (89-82-82).
Moreno and Yanez await results of the other district tournaments being played to see if they advance to the NJCAA Division I National Championships. It is from May 19-24 at the Duran Country Club in Melbourne, FL. Moreno and Yanez would compete as individuals.
