(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College baseball player J.T. Drake (Los Alamos HS, NM) pitched a gem in a run-rule victory as he was named ACCAC Division I Pitcher of the week for the week of Mar. 3-9.
Drake, a sophomore, threw all five innings, giving up two hits with six strikeouts and no walks on 60 pitches as the Aztecs beat Mesa Community College 10-0 last Saturday.
He has thrown 35.0 innings in six appearances, going 4-1 with a 1.80 ERA. He has two complete-games, 35 strikeouts, allowed seven earned runs and walked seven batters.
The Aztecs picked up an ACCAC conference sweep on Tuesday at Eastern Arizona College on Tuesday and will close out the week at No. 6 ranked Central Arizona College on Saturday in Coolidge. First game starts at 12:00 p.m.
