(Surprise, AZ) The Park University Gilbert men’s volleyball team fell against No. 4 OUAZ 3-0 (15-25, 16-25, 16-25) at Faith Arena.
Three of the Bucs losses this season have come against the fourth-ranked Spirit, one of the top teams in the country.
The Bucs had 18 kills and hit .000 for the match and spread the wealth among the group with five players with two or more kills. Juniors David Shafer and Jake Burdick each had four kills while Jonah Baich and Richard Steelehad three.
Tyler Yu led the team with nine assists and tied for the lead with six digs with Shafer.
Things don’t get any easier for the Buccaneers as they return to conference play. Up next is seventh-ranked Benedictine Mesa on Sunday at Chandler-Gilbert Community College at 6 p.m.
