(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College women’s basketball player Rylei Waugh (Westchester HS, CA) produced another standout week as the ACCAC conference took notice.
Waugh, a freshman guard, was selected ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for the third time. She received the honor for the Nov. 5-11 and Dec. 10-16 weeks of play.
Waugh totaled 32 points (averaged 16.0 points per game), nine rebounds, six assists and three steals as the Aztecs won at Scottsdale Community College 63-54 but fell short at Cochise College 65-55. Waugh played in 70 of the 80 minutes.
She has played and started in all 15 games this season and is second in the ACCAC averaging 16.3 points and 6.1 assists. She is also averaging 6.2 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.
The No. 14 ranked Aztecs will host Chandler-Gilbert Community College on Wednesday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
