(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College softball player Mallory Zylinski-Wrobel (Sahuarita HS) has signed her letter of intent to play at the NCAA Division I level.
Zylinski-Wrobel, a sophomore catcher, committed to the University of Texas at El Paso. The Miners play in Conference USA.
She was named second team All-ACCAC and NJCAA All-Region I, Division I last season. She batted .387 with 13 home runs, 73 RBIs (led team), 54 runs scored, 22 walks and 14 doubles in 163 at-bats in 56 games played.
The Aztecs open the 2024 season at the College of Southern Nevada Kickoff Classic on Friday and Saturday in Henderson, NV. They’ll play three games on Friday; starting off against Salt Lake Community college at 8:00 a.m., then Snow College at 10:30 a.m. and closing out the day against Trinidad State College at 2:00 p.m.
