(Salt Lake City,UT) Earning a new season-high team score, Sun Devil Gymnastics scored a 196.700 and took second behind No. 5 Utah (197.675) on Friday Night in the Huntsman Center.
Notable Stats
- Arizona State (3-2, 0-1 Pac-12) scored its best team mark of the year, surpassing the previous high of 196.375. The Sun Devils have scored over 196 in three-straight meets.
- ASU extended the program record for consecutive meets with a 49-plus on vault, now at 14 in a row dating back to last season. The team scored a 49.175, led by senior Anaya Smith’s 9.900. It was her second score in four meets of 9.9-plus.
- Graduate Hannah Scharf’s 9.925 on floor tied for the event title, her second floor win of the season and third overall. It also was the highest score on that event this season for the Gym Devils. She also earned the event title in a three way tie with two other Utah gymnasts.
- The streak of consecutive bar rotations with a 49-plus is now at 13 in a row.
- Emily White’s 9.925 on beam was her highest score on beam this season. She is on a three meet streak of scoring a 9.850 or above. Additionally, she had a solid night on her other two events, earning a 9.850 on bars and a 9.825 on floor.
- Jada Mangahas earned a new career high in the all-around with a 39.325. She earned at least a 9.800 on all four events, with her best score coming on vault and bars (9.850s).

Rotation One: Bars, 49.175
Starting off the first position strong, Gracie Reeves led the Sun Devils with a 9.850. Three other gymnasts joined her at 9.850: Cassi Barbanente, Mangahas and White. This was Mangahas’ fourth consecutive meet scoring a 9.850 on bars.
Rotation Two: Vault, 49.175
In the anchor spot, Anaya Smith earned a 9.900 to give the Sun Devils a much-needed boost. Mangahas led ASU with a 9.850 while Halle Gregoire was right behind her with a 9.825. Reeves, Scharf and Alex Theodorou also all scored a 9.800 on vault.
Rotation Three: Floor, 49.250
Scharf pulled off a clutch performance in the anchor position with a 9.925, her highest floor score of the season. After a correction, Gregoire earned a 9.850 on floor, while Kimberly Smith, White and Mangahas helped the Sun Devils with their 9.825s.
Rotation Four: Beam, 49.100
While the fourth position was a small struggle for the Sun Devils, White stood out and continued the anchor success with a 9.925, her highest score on beam this season. Following White, Kayla Lee earned a 9.825 while Reeves and Mangahas both earned a pair of 9.800s.
