D(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (6-5-2, 5-3-2 in ACCAC) found itself in a tough matchup on Tuesday against Arizona Western College (11-1, 10-0).
The Aztecs fell to the No. 9 ranked Matadors 6-0 as Pima suffered their first loss since Sept. 9 at Yavapai College. Prior to Tuesday’s contest, the Aztecs hadn’t surrendered more than two goals in any of their games.
The Matadors outshot the Aztecs 15-5 for the game. Sophomore Adriana Pacheco (Cienega HS) finished the game with eight saves. Freshman Jasmin Delgado (Salpointe Catholic HS) played the final 16 minutes at the net and had with no saves.
The Aztecs will hit the road on Saturday when they play at Eastern Arizona College. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
