(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College volleyball team (9-15, 5-7 in ACCAC) got back in the win column on Friday as it beat Phoenix College (0-14, 0-12) at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium.
The Aztecs earned a straight set victory over the Bears 25-13, 25-23, 25-19 snapping their six-match skid.
Freshman Kenna Simon led the Aztecs with 12 kills. Sophomore Abby Whatton (Canyon del Oro HS) finished the match with nine kills and freshman Haylee Gilleland (Flagstaff HS) posted seven kills.
The Aztecs hit the road on Wednesday when they play at Mesa Community College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
