(Budapest, Hungary) This Sun Devil is a world champion and world record holder! Justin Robinsonis bringing home a gold medal from the World Athletics World Championships after helping Team USA to a world record finish in the 4×400 mixed relay. With Robinson leading off, the squad of Rosey Effiong, Matthew Boling and Alexis Holmes finished in 3:08.80, besting Great Britain by 2.26 (3:11.06). Robinson is the first Sun Devil to earn a World Championship medal since Dwight Phillips earned four over a five-meet stretch from 2003 to 2011. Robinson’s leadoff split was 44.47 which ties his lifetime 400m open personal best from the 2023 U.S. Championships.

The US 4x400m mixed relay team storms to the gold medal in a world record-breaking 3:08.80.
It’s the first team in the history of the event to break 3:09.
