Turner Washington is Budapest-bound for the World Championships after a silver medal performance at the USATF Outdoor Championship
(Eugene, OR) Turner Washington continues to do Turner Washington things. The recent Arizona State graduate has qualified for the World Athletics World Championships in Budapest after taking silver in the discus at the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships. Washington threw 65.60m/ 215-3 in round four to take silver in the first USATF Outdoor Championship discus meet of his career. The World Championships run August 19-27. Washington came in second to Sam Mattis (65.93m/ 216-3) of NY Athletic Club and was ahead of Tracksmith’s Brian Williams 63.36m/207-10.
