(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College men’s track & field athlete Trey Tintinger has committed to an NCAA Division I institution to continue his education and collegiate career.
Tintinger, a sophomore jumper from Helena, Montana, committed to the University of Oregon, a Pacific-12 school in Eugene.
Tintinger was a two-time NJCAA All-American this season as he took third place at the NJCAA Division I Outdoor National Championships after he cleared 2.10 meters (6-feet, 10.75-inches). His season-best mark was set at 2.11 meters (6-11). He earned All-American honors after taking eighth place at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships at 1.99 meters (6-6.25).
Tintinger claimed the NJCAA Region I Championship in the High Jump with a height of 1.97 meters (6-5.50). He also took home the ACCAC Conference crown with a jump of 2.07 meters (6-9.50).
He closes out his Pima career ranked No. 3 in the Indoor High Jump at 2.11 meters (6-11) and No. 5 all-time in the Outdoor High Jump at 2.10 meters (6-10.75).
