(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College women’s track & field student-athlete Jackie Trice (Williams Field HS) will compete at the NCAA Division I level.
Trice, a sophomore multi’s competitor, committed to the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. The Bears compete in the Big Sky Conference.
Trice closed out her Pima career as a six-time NJCAA All-American. She earned All-American status four times this season. She earned sixth place finishes in the Pentathlon and the Long Jump at the Indoor National Championships. She claimed fifth place in the Heptathlon and eighth place in the Long Jump at the NJCAA Division I Outdoor National Championships
As a freshman in 2022, Trice took eighth place in the Pentathlon at Indoor Nationals and placed eighth in the Long Jump at Outdoor Nationals.
She set a new Pima school record in the Pentathlon with 3328 points, which was set at this year’s Indoor National Championships. She is ranked No. 2 in school history in the Heptathlon with 4453 points.
Trice set a personal-best in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.91 meters (19-feet, 4.75-inches) and is No. 6 in school history. She is also listed at No. 8 in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15:36.
She is ranked No. 3 in the Long Jump for the Indoor Season with a mark of 5.82 meters (19-1.25) and is No. 10 in the Indoor 800 meters with a time of 2:32.18.
Trice will join sophomore sprinter/distance runner Nathan Plant on the Bears’ squad in the fall.
