(Eugene, OR) Sun Devil Lacrosse (4-9, 3-5 Pac-12) fell short in the final quarter to Oregon (5-7, 1-5 Pac-12) despite reaching double digits for the ninth time this season. The 12-11 loss featured goals by six different Sun Devils including a hat trick by freshman Teagan Ng.
Up next, the Sun Devils head to the Rockies for a contest on Sunday, April 16 at 11 a.m. MST against Colorado. Sunday’s match will be broadcasted on the Pac-12 Network.

Game Summary
To open the scoring, off a free-position pass from behind the net, Katie Brodsky connected with Berit Brookfield up top who found the back of the net. In the following possession Teagan Ng sprinted past her defender and took a quick shot, grabbing the second of the afternoon for the Sun Devils. Five minutes later Mina Scott forced a turnover in the middle third and took off into the Ducks’ zone where she buried her 20th of the season. With a three goal lead into the second quarter, ASU continued its push offensively, forcing Oregon to take three yellow cards and ten fouls 18 minutes into the game. With a free-position woman-up opportunity, Brookfield buried the ball to the goalie’s bottom left side. Shortly after, Scott had a free-position shot that was saved, but Ng grabbed the ground ball and found the back of the net. The fifth Sun Devil goal forced the Ducks to take a timeout. A minute later Kaylon Buckner scored the second free-position goal for ASU. With 23 seconds remaining, Bella Ingrao ran it in herself to put the Sun Devils up 7-3 headed into halftime.
Two goals were tallied by the Ducks to start off the second half. With 10 minutes remaining, the Sun Devils connected three quick passes before Lydia Oldknow fed the fourth pass to Scott. On the crease, Scott juked the goalie off her line before burying the ball for a 8-5 lead. Oregon knocked back with two goals, but Ng tallied a hat trick after beating the Ducks goalie down low. Brodsky, posted up on the crease, received a pass from Claire Beucher and found the Sun Devils’ tenth goal of the day. The captain would go on to score a free-position goal to close out Friday’s game.
