Andrew Stucky and Anthony Imhoff sweep ACCAC Player and Pitcher of the Week honors

(Tucson, AZ)  Pima Community College baseball players Andrew Stucky (Canyon del Oro HS) and Anthony Imhoff (Queen Creek HS) were rewarded for their efforts in last week’s games by the ACCAC conference for the week of Mar. 26-April 1.

Stucky, a sophomore catcher, was named ACCAC Division I Player of the Week while Imhoff, a left-handed pitcher, was selected ACCAC Division I Pitcher of the Week.

Stucky went 5 for 10 (.500) with three RBIs, three runs scored, three walks, three doubles and a home run as the Aztecs went 3-1 with a sweep over Chandler-Gilbert Community College and a split at Scottsdale Community College.
Stucky is batting .325 in 117 at-bats. He leads the Aztecs with 15 doubles and 20 walks. He has 26 runs scored and 20 RBIs on the season.

Imhoff received his second nod for ACCAC Pitcher of the Week. The first came for the week of Feb. 26-Mar. 4. He threw a complete-game shutout on Saturday in Pima’s 2-0 win in eight innings at Scottsdale Community College. He gave up two hits with nine strikeouts and one walk on 86 pitches.
Imhoff has made nine appearances on the hill so far this season. He has pitched 48.1 innings with an 8-1 record and a 2.23 ERA. He leads the Aztecs with 74 strikeouts.

The No. 19 ranked Aztecs swept Phoenix College on Tuesday at the West Campus Aztec Field. They will hit the road for the next two doubleheaders.

The Aztecs will face-off against No. 2 Central Arizona College on Saturday in Coolidge. First game starts at noon.
