(Gilbert, AZ) Park University Gilbert women’s basketball players Kayla Schroeder and Jenny Todd were named the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete team.
Todd earns the honor in her final season as a Buccaneer, Schroeder earns the honor in her first year of eligibility for the award as a sophomore. Schroeder and Todd join 14 other California Pacific Conference players in earning the award.
Schroeder, from Neenah, Wisc., has a 3.8 GPA in business administration, while Todd, from Chandler, Ariz., has a 3.752 GPA in criminal justice.
Todd played in 17 games this season starting one and averaged seven minutes a game as a three-point shooting role player. Schroeder was named to the California Pacific Conference second team averaging 15.4 points a game and shotting 49 percent from the floor and 39 percent from three-point range.
