D(Phoenix, AZ) The Arizona Rattlers have officially signed veteran kicker and IFL Champion Craig Peterson for the 2023 IFL season.
K Craig Peterson (6’2″, 205, SUNY Cortland) joins the Arizona Rattlers with veteran status for the 2023 season.
In 2022, Peterson was an IFL champion for the Northern Arizona Wranglers where he had one of the top FG% in the league along with drilling two game-winners. One of those two came against his new Rattlers squad in the Western Conference Championship. He averaged over 11 points per game during his IFL playoff run in 22′.
Along with that, Peterson has won 3 championships in the last 4 seasons while going back-to-back in two different leagues.
Peterson played 3 seasons in the Arena Football League, spending two seasons with the Tampa Bay Storm (15′, 16′) and one with the Columbus Destroyers (19′), where he was 1st in FG made and 1st in FG%.
The veteran kicker played 2 seasons in the National Arena League and won championships with the Albany Empire (21′) and Carolina Cobras (18′). He was also named Special teams Player of the year both years, and broke the record for most deuces in a season (30), most deuces in a game (4), and most made extra points in a game (11).
Peterson has attended 2 Canadian Football League training camps, one with the Ottawa Redblacks (14′) and the other with the Hamilton Tiger Cats (17′), and also had a workout with the Atlanta Falcons in 2019.
