(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s golf team hits the links for the first round of the NJCAA Division I National Championship on Tuesday at the Odessa County Club in Texas.
The Aztecs finished the day tied for 18th place in the team standings with a score of 308.
Freshman Daniel Henely (Cienega HS) had the best round of the day for the Aztecs as he closed it out shooting a 3-over par 75. He sits tied for 47th place in the individual standings.
Freshman Max Krueger (Salpointe Catholic HS) finished the day with a 4-over 76 and is tied for 59th place.
Freshman Jay Shero shot a 78 and sits tied for 80th while freshman Tommy Rosenvall had a 79.
The Aztecs play in the second round of the NJCAA Division I National Championships on Wednesday. The Aztecs begin to tee off around 8:30 a.m. (CDT).
