(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s track & field team competed at the NAU Tune-Up Meet on Friday in Flagstaff, AZ.
Freshman Orion Barger (Canyon del Oro HS) took first place in the 400-meter race and set a new Pima Indoor Record finishing with a time of 47.87 seconds.
Freshman Joel Gardner (Ironwood Ridge HS) took third place in the mile race with a time of 4 minutes, 25.40 seconds and also placed fifth in the 800 meter race with a time of 1:59.91; which put him ninth in school history.
Freshman Jacob Rosales (Walden Grove HS) is now eighth in Pima Indoor school history after he finished the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.01.
Freshman Terrion Amicks (Peoria HS) finished fourth in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.75 meters (22-feet, 1.75-inches).
The Aztecs will compete in the NJCAA Indoor National Championships on Mar. 4-5 at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, KS.
